With over 25 years of legal practice experience and over 10 years as a legal recruiter, Lisa offers the unique ability to develop lasting relationships with both clients and candidates. As a lawyer, Lisa worked in all settings, at all levels, and rose to the top of her field.
She commenced her legal career at the SEC before moving to a prominent New York City law firm where she was a litigation associate. After that, she moved in-house, and worked for 17 years at the #1 global record company, PolyGram Records (now known as Universal Music Group). She started as a Senior Attorney and within 7 years had moved up the ladder to become Senior Vice President & General Counsel, a position she held for 10 years. After a $10 billion merger between PolyGram Records and Universal Music, Lisa served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Atari, Inc., a well-known computer game company (then a publicly-traded company), where she established full-service multi-office legal departments (NY, MA, CA) and provided counsel to the Board of Directors and Senior Management.
In 2005, Lisa took her career in a new direction and entered the legal recruiting field where she could tap into her exceptional people skills, ability to accurately assess talent and represent clients to the legal recruiting field. She joined a global legal recruiting firm as a Managing Director of the In-House Practice Group where she first met Michelle Foster, and where she focused on in-house searches, placing general counsel and other lawyers within all industry sectors. After 3 years Lisa left that company and since then has expanded her recruiting efforts to include the law firm world, placing both partners and associates and developing trusting relationships and credibility with her law firm clients. Lisa is known for her astute and thoughtful understanding of her candidate’s and clients’ goals, out of the box thinking, and ability to close deals. She lives in New York City and has two daughters.
